What Other Diets Were Out When The Scarsdale Diet Was?
A lot of
other diets were out around the 60s and the 70s when the Scarsdale diet also
came out and the new year comes with new goals that you might want to achieve.
Most times,
even though people don’t later go ahead with what they plan, diets are mostly
part of the plans.
When talking
about diet, we aren’t talking about that the vegetables that your parents are
feeding you and preaching about their nutrition.
We are
talking about diets that involve weight loss and the whole shenanigans.
These diets
have been created for a very long time to help us watch our weight and everything.
Most of
these weight-watching diets were created in the 70s and 60s, an example of
these diets is the Scarsdale diet.
We have a
list of some of these diets that were created back in the day.
1.
Metrecal Diet
This was a
diet created by Mead Johnson who put a lot of study into this diet which was
created to help weight control and food satisfaction.
It is a
chalky diet filled with protein, and it was brought out in 1959. It is
surprising that the name isn’t similar to the creator's name right?
Well at the
time, they had to put in the food in an IBM computer to get the names of what
Mead had created.
2.
Sego Diet
Pet was the
originator of this particular diet, it was introduced in a marketplace with a
lot of people available to watch in 1963.
During this
decade, there were so many diets that were introduced or the ones that already
existed.
Most of the
drinks placed on the shelves in this decade had very suspicious names showing
that they were some kind of diet drinks.
The old
actress Tippi Hedren was first introduced to the public eye through her
appearance in one of the commercials for this diet.
3.
Carnation's Slender
Carnation
was a company that made food at the time, back then people used to know them
for their spectacular breakfast mix which was used by most as their meals.
When they
gained popularity with their breakfast mix, they alternates one of their powder
slender and then were able to make it as weight loss meals.
Snack bars
were also introduced during that time and were also made as diet snacks.
4.
Drinking Man Diet
This most
Don Draper has agreed on diets that were put in place during 1964.
Leaving out
the fact that the name of this diet isn’t as bizarre as the other diets
mentioned here.
This
particular diet is a liquid diet.
5.
Diet Pills
This is a
diet from 1968 that had problems with the way life was, it wasn’t an easy task
but it came out the exact year that the drinking diet was introduced.
Although it wasn’t much of a big deal at first
but by the time the year went half, it was all everyone could talk about and
something every dieter wanted to use.
